                               Mr Q (Webmaster)

This magazine is so damn yummy. It's like gorging yourself on a huge bar of chocolate every two months. So sumptious and beautiful is each edition, you'll be glad it doesn't come out any more regularly. Nothing less than a subscription can really satisfy the slave to pop that so many of us are, but the on-line version features a few taster articles and reviews from each curent issue. However to spice things up a bit, there are some Web Exclusives which you won't find anywhere else.

There's printed version of this US magazine, for which a 4 issue subscription will relieve your pocket
of $20. The on-line version is much more limited, but offers a large number of CD reviews from the current issue, which concentrate on more eclectic and discerning taste. Recommended by Debra47, it's
well worth a regular visit..

Perhaps the world's greatest music magazine. If you you know Q, then you'll know what to expect. Having been in existance since 1986, Q has an incredible database of CD and record reviews which has few rivals - over 20,000 available on line. Add to that, great buyer guides, features and much more. If MrQ uses Q, then so should you!

OLGA - the On-Line Guitar Archive is a library
of files that show you how to play songs on guitar. The files come from other internet guitar enthusiasts and since they come from amateur contributors, the files vary greatly in quality. If you don't play guitar, don't worry, this site is also is a great lyric archive and the main reason for its inclusion here on the Powerpop!! site links.

To fans of the original power pop from the 70's and indeed to anglophillia, period, Trouser Press (TP) will already be well known via he wonderful magazine that ran for a ten year period from the mid 70's to 80's. Luckily it didn't stop there. Editor Ira Robbins revived the brand name and TP became the most essential "bible" for fans of indie and alternative music. The review are spot on and the on-line version is every bit as good as the written volumes, of which there are 4. Before you buy it, check it out at Trouser Press.

"Why blow a streak? I've given you Linus with every other list
I've sent, why stop now? Heh heh" says DeclanPMac.

Our own Fertonic3 brings a Spanish flavour to Power Pop from a Southern European Perspective. Reviews of new CD's, Gigs and a whole host more.

If you live in the US and w
ant to find out where and when your favorite bands are playing? Give this site a try. You can search concert calendars by Artist, City, Venue or Festival. The site also provides some concert reviews and artist profiles. Additionally, you can signup
for a free email service announcing concert tours. (There are some International Cities available too, but these are sketchy, it mainly centres on the US - Ed)
