There's some great Power Pop links out there on the 'Net, and some dubious
ones. We sort the wheat from the chaff to give you the definitive guide.
There are four pages in all, as they grow, we'll provide an A-Z matrix,
but for now just leaf through the pages using the navigation provided
at the top and bottom of each page.

First prize goes to Lee Coursey's
great site at Crayfish.com called Powerpop Radio. It contains
a vast amount of information for any lover of the Genre: Band Lists
& Links, Labels, History, Reviews, Current
News and Reviews and if you have the bandwidth (I don't unfortunately)
it's a Radio Station to boot, broadcasting the finest Power
Pop each day, every day!
Shake
It Up is another great authority on all things Power Pop including:
A vast collection of reviews, some great end of year release roundups,
articles and some sounds to listen to, mostly in the contemptible
Real Audio format, but you can't have everything. Finally links with
CD Now to purchase the music.
Arguably
the most fab Power Pop label around at the moment, Not Lame is
truly dedicated to our cause, so you owe it to yourself and them to patronize
their wares. They have a new Jellyfish box set in the pipeline;
A collection of Glen Tilbrook rarities performed with Ron Sexsmith
and Aimee Mann; the new Shazam and Terry Anderson
CD's. What more could you possibly want?
Where do you buy your CD's on line?
I get most of mine here - why? Not only do they have a great selection
of Power Pop & everything else, but if you live outside the US (which
many PP!! members do) Djangos will deliver worldwide for
free on orders over $50. This means big savings for us Europeans.
Check them, you won't be sorry.
Low
on graphics, but a high on informed intelligently presented prose in this
on-line magazine. Pop Culture Press has been in existence for
5 years at least and has a printed equivalent. A substantial review section;
comprehensive independentrecord company database and regular features
and news - well worth a butchers!!
Fufkin.com
is a magazine/e-zine with message boards, live chat and mp3 focused on
the whole gamut of melodic infused pop. There's also a nice section on
on home recording, new media and pop culture. A truly cosmopolitan consideration
is that Fulfkin is available in multiple languages. An intelligently
written site and worth it for the forum section alone.
