March 1st saw the GREEN-WINGED TEAL still present at Herringfleet Marshes, a GREAT WHITE EGRET was at Carlton Marshes at dawn, and eight CRANES flew north westward over Lowestoft at 07:45. At dusk the egret roost at Carlton Marshes contained single CATTLE and GREAT WHITE EGRETS in addition to 12 LITTLE EGRETS.

A drake GREEN-WINGED TEAL was found at Herringfleet Marshes on the 26th and was still present on the 27th and 28th. A SHORT-EARED OWL was at Herringfleet Marshes on the evening of the 28th, along with around 20 WATER PIPITS going to roost.

A RED KITE flew over Oulton Broad on the 26th.

The CATTLE EGRET came to roost again at Carlton Marshes on the evenings of the 23rd and 24th. It was seen flying south eastwards across the A12 at Kessingland on the morning of the 27th.

At least 18 WATER PIPITS were at Herringfleet Marshes on the 23rd, and a SHORT-EARED OWL was at Carlton and Oulton Marshes on the evening of the 23rd.

CATTLE EGRET
Bubulcus ibis
One left roost at Carlton Marshes at 06:50 on the 17th and returned to roost at 17:19 that evening. It departed southwards, possibly to the Benacre area as the ones seen in January were doing.
It was seen leaving roost again on the mornings of the 19th, 21st and 24th, and was seen going to roost on the evening of the 23rd and 24th.
It was seen flying south-eastward over the A12 at Kessingland at 7:23 on the 27th.
