The 1901 Census shows MARY JANE MEADOWS living with her
husband Alfred at 281 High Road,
Tottenham. London. Interestingly her place of birth was given as
Nova Scotia. Their son William P. (Percival) was 13 years
old. I think he was born between Jan –
Mar. in 1888 and their daughter Grace was 11 years of age. She was born 4th February 1890.
I have some information regarding 2 of MARY JANE’S brothers
via the 1901 census.
Philip Black and his wife Jane both aged 34 years old were
living at 1, Cleveland Road,
Islington.
Walter Black aged 29 and his wife Mabel aged 30 years (she
was born in Brentwood, Essex) were living at 130 Seymour Place, Marylebone, London.
On the death of her husband ALFRED, MARY JANE MEADOWS
married Arthur Hurst on 4th September 1901 in Edmonton, Middlesex. MARY JANE died September 1921 in Tottenham.
