May highlights included WHITE-WINGED BLACK TERNS, GREAT REED WARBLER, PURPLE HERON and CATTLE EGRETS. A flock of 17 GREENSHANK at Carlton Marshes on the 5th was notable, even more so given the very poor number of waders passing through in general.
