Glow-worm - Gunton Warren - May 2007- ©Andrew Easton

A Glow-worm larva was found trundling very slowly across the path in front of Warrenhouse Wood at Gunton Warren on the 26th. Not having seen many before, and not in daylight, it came as a surprise to see it use its tail to give itself an extra push. It bent the last couple of segments forward and then pushed back into the sand to help it along in the manner of a looper caterpillar.
