Ronald Smith (b.1914) was living at 47 Sandown Lane, Wavertree, Liverpool 15 on the 27th of April 1948 when he purchased a Ford "Tudor" car from a dealer at Garston in south Liverpool. Number 47 is shown in the adjacent photograph (it is the one with the blue front door) and now, along with number 49 next door, forms a "Grade II Listed Building".
