My great grandfather, George Milne Smith was a Marine Engineer who was born in Aberdeen, Scotland on 25 January 1859. He was one
of at least four children of my great great grandparents, Robert Smith and Euphemia Milne who was from Kincardine O'Neil.
Robert and Euphemia were married at Mannofield, Aberdeen on 7 March 1844.
Euphemia Milne's father, Alexander Milne, was a "keeper of water house" and was born in 1801. His wife Isobel Menzies was born in 1800. Alexanders father may have been called Abraham Milne and been born 1763.
