Son of William Mossop and Elizabeth, in Blackbeck Cottage Beckermet. Baptised 15th October 1854 at St Bridget Beckermet.
Sarah Davidson (born c 1844), 9th May 1879, in Gosforth, Cumberland.
At the 1881 census they had one son, George E Mossop, age 1.
At the 1891 census Sarah is shown as a widow, aged 35, with two sons, George, age 11, born Gosforth, and Robert, aged 7, born Egremont.
Emigrated to Australia and died in Melbourne 29th July 1885. See his father William's gravestone inscription. It is not clear whether Sarah and the sons ever went to Australia.
