Born 1804, daughter of John Balshaw and Ann of Ormskirk.
Baptised at Ormskirk parish church 18th March 1804.
Children: Jane Balshaw, born 14th May, 1824, baptised 31st October 1824.
The quarter sessions records include in 1824 an order of filiation brought by Margaret Balshaw of Ormskirk, singlewoman.
Before 1837, as the will of John Balshaw, 1774-1849, mentions his daughter Margaret Balshaw (deceased) and her natural daughter Jane Balshaw.
