Buxted Place has been extensively remodelled in the last 100 years and is now a hotel. The pictures show part of one of the service blocks. The house itself is to the left, hidden by the trees. In the early 1900s the house was occupied by the 2nd Viscount Portman.

Deer with
identical
antlers!
The fallow deer still roam the grounds with the occasional visit to our garden. However the old picture may well have been manipulated as nearly all the deer shown are males with suspiciously similar antlers.
