This postcard was sent to Miss Jenny Booker of Ardmore, Blackwater Road, Eastbourne on the 1st of May 1905.
Dear J. Thankyou for P.C. I hope you will like this one. I could not write before because I had not got any P.C. if I had the time and plenty of cash I could send oftener. It is all very well for you old girl to go to T. Wells for nearly a week. I cannot get a day leave alone a week. I should like to have a week's holiday for a change but there is not much chance for it has been wet every day for this week. I hope we shall soon get some brighter weather.
