Ellen (14) was working as a servant in Robert AYLETT's household
in Westow Street. He is described as a 'Contractor' (The 1878
Post Office Directory describes indicates that he worked at an
'oil and italian' warehouse and as a carman).
Alice (11) was living with her aunt and uncle, Edwin and Annie
PYM, at 3 Burry Terrace, Paddington, London. Edwin worked as a
butcher.

By 1901, the family had broken up.
Thomas (62) was still living in Croydon and working as a shoemaker.
His oldest son, Thomas (40) was also living in Croydon and continued
to work as a printer compositor. He was married to Alice and had
a large family.
Arthur (38) was living in Croydon and was still working as a
gardener. He was married to Frances and had two children.
Ellen (32) had married
Henry SANDOM and was living in Southampton.
