Uckfield,
looking towards London, during the final months of the Lewes link
in the winter of 1968-1969.
The station seen here, however, had another 22 years of life ahead of it, as the increasingly decrepit terminus of what was soon to become a dead-end branch.
In the spring of 1991, it was replaced by a new halt on the other side of the road, and finally, in late 2000, the site was completely cleared, apart from the platforms.
