same sunny winter's afternoon, 1318 waits at Barcombe Mills for
the arrival of the connecting 'shuttle' service from Lewes (see
last panel).
The large triangle was painted on the motor cars of these DEMUs so that staff could quickly spot where the guard's van was. The system survived until these units' withdrawal.
As with Isfield, there are no plans to restore passenger services to this station at present.
