The view south towards the station and Lewes. A short section of track on the former down side is now used for preserved trains, while the down side plays host to a storage siding.

With the neighbouring Hastings and Brighton lines suffering from worsening overcrowding and reliability problems, many East Sussex residents find it strange that a line that could do so much to relieve the pressure on both routes is not used more productively. (Grid Ref. TQ 454 175)
