Crowborough -An Uckfield - Oxted shuttle coasts downhill into Crowborough station in July 2002, past the site of the former brickworks and a once substantial goods yard.
This particular class 207 unit is one of those that were modified for an abortive Brighton - Ashford 'fast' (always a relative term with this stock) service in the mid-1990s by the addition of a former class 411 trailer car in the centre of the unit. The extra width of this 9'3" wide vehicle compared to the original narrow DEMU cars is quite noticeable. (Grid Ref. TQ 533 298)
