Barcombe Mills - June 2003

After a period of dereliction a restaurant was established in the station house in the 1980s.

By the time of this June 2003 view, looking towards Lewes, it had been closed for some time and the former down waiting room had just been replaced by a superficially similar building comprising two chalets. In 2005 the area under the platform canopy on the main building was walled in.

Less than three miles beyond this point on the route is the Lewes - London main line -- and a potential route through to Lewes and the South Coast. (Grid Ref. TQ 430 149)
