With 205001 now on its way to Oxted, an Uckfield-bound 207017 pauses briefly at this unstaffed station on its 45-minute run south.

Note the dark green bands on the lampost; not a decorative feature, but a standard paint scheme designed to avoid passengers walking into them. Older visitors to this site will recall a similar policy by the Southern Railway during the blackout in the second world war.
