A grubby 205001 waits at the station with a mid-morning service to Oxted.

The object which is just visible resting on the buffer is a dead pheasant, unfortunately struck and killed by the train and emphasising the rural character of the area.

To the right of the shot, alterations which involved lowering the station platform by several inches to accommodate the class 170s are almost complete.
