Tunbridge Wells West - 1967

A view from January that year at the time of the closure of the East Grinstead and Three Bridges service.

It provides a reminder of what the station looked like before the demolition men began their work -- note the full-length canopy on the up platform and the waiting room on the island platform.

In the foreground, an Eridge - Tonbridge service leaves the station, while to the left a rake of locomotive hauled coaches is being serviced.
