Tunbridge Wells West - 1975

By 1975 the policy of systematic neglect was already well-entrenched. When something needed repairing, it was generally demolished.

Evidence of this can be seen in the 'temporary' corrugated iron shelter on the down platform and the series of patches on the up platform. These filled holes left by the recent removal of part of the platform's canopy.

Before BR finally succeeded in destroying this unwanted route in 1985, the far end of the canopy would get the same treatment.
