High Rocks - 1984

A Tonbridge bound train passes the site of the former High Rocks halt between Groombridge and Tunbridge Wells West.

By this time the track on this section of line was in very poor condition, with mud pumping up throug the ballast in many places and several 20 mph 'temporary' speed restrictions.

Today only one track remains here, used by the Spa Valley Railway's slow and sporadic steam hauled trains.
