The view towards Uckfield. The bridge in the foreground carried the railway across a backwater of the Ouse known as 'the Cut', which was formerly used as a canal.

The bushes in the middle distance mark the point at which a revived Wealden Line would diverge from the route closed in 1969 to make a junction with the Lewes to Keymer junction (Wivelsfield) route.
