GIVING RIDES

Objectives of the Society

The objectives of the Society are as follows:-

• To foster and encourage the practice and study of model engineering as a recreational hobby in all its branches.
• To promote and facilitate the interchange of ideas, knowledge and experience relating to model engineering.
• To widen public knowledge and understanding of engineering through the medium of the construction, display and operation of engineering models.
• To provide facilities for the furtherance of the Society’s objectives for the benefit and enjoyment both of the members of the Society and of the public generally.

The serving VAMES Committee are elected at the Annual General Meeting in November of each year.

The diary of forthcoming Society meetings and talks gives details of the up and coming events that take place away from the site track at the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.

The history of VAMES gives an insight into the past thirty plus years of the Society.

Periodically VAMES publishes a magazine for members containing many interesting articles concerning the current activities and interests within the Society.(The magazine is in Adobe Acrobat format and needs the appropriate reader to access it. The current magazine has a size of 1.8MB.)

The Gallery pages there are now five pages of photographs covering the years from 2002 to 2008.We would always welcome more photographs for inclusion
