NEW FOR 2009
- Worried about whether you are up to advanced training?
- Want an independent opinion on your riding?
- Just want to meet your instructor before you commit yourself to a course?
Take a Video Assessment with Survival Skills for £50
Survival Skills has been using on-bike video for a number of years now to provide feedback for trainees on the practical courses and assessments. It's an excellent way of actually showing the rider
exactly what the verbal comments mean.
However, a practical course means you have to be able to ride in front of me. That means that although Survival Skills courses are accessible from many parts of the UK with our scheduled training in
Kent and Oxfordshire, and our "Tour" events in places like mid-Wales, the Peaks and SE Devon, some riders just cannot get to do a practical course.
It's been fairly obvious looking at the rapidly increasing number of clips posted up on YouTube that many riders now have video cameras and mounts for the bike. So we've decided to give you the
opportunity to have your riding assessed from video footage.
All you have to do is send us between 20 and 30 minutes of video footage on CD, and you can have your riding checked out by a qualified instructor, given an objective assessment of what kind of
level you're riding at, what areas you need to think about, and how you can continue your development as a rider.
Here's an example
Ideally your video would cover a mix of situations from busy town centre traffic to twisty roads. You can shoot the video from your own bike, or better still, get a mate to shoot the clips from behind.
You'll get a written debrief on the ride, as well as access to a video that I've shot with a commentary ride for you to study.
The Video Assessment costs £50 and is AVAILABLE NOW!

"Just a quick note to say thank you very much for your time and wisdom on Saturday, I always read stuff and try and implement it, but I guess it goes to show there is
no substitute for someone else's observations and experience... once I've sold my soul for me new leathers I'll be in touch about further training as discussed." Mark Garlard
"I wish I had done something like this years ago, would I recommend it? Yes, without reservation." Mark Sladden
