Christopher
Lumgair was born in Sidmouth, England and spent his early childhood
in Korea, Japan and Africa.
His love of architecture and drawing was kindled
by a visit with his family to the ruined Roman city of Lepcis Magna
in Libya.
His talent for drawing was recognised by his art
master at Victoria College, Jersey who encouraged him to study at
West Sussex College of Art, an college near the family’s home
in Chichester.
He went on to study Visual Communications at Corsham
(Bath Academy of Art) which led to a career in graphic design.
Christopher’s return to drawing later in life
provides an outlet for his love of architecture and interest in
social types.
His style and approach is influenced by many artists including Daumier, Daubigny, Degas, Monet, Manet, Whistler, Scheile. |
