You must register before each race. Registration is from 6.15pm and takes place in the large room at the rear of the Leisure Centre. Please arrive early to register.

The cost is £1 for the whole series of eight races. Please bring a pound coin when you first register. You will be given a number which will be used for all the eight races in the current series. Please don't forget to bring it with you for each race.

Each runner is given a time handicap according to ability.

The race will start and finish on the pavement by the entrance to the Leisure Centre. We aim to get the first runners away at approximately 6:45pm.

Keep an eye on the time, listen for your name being called out and present yourself at the start about 30 seconds prior to your start time. If you are late you are simply increasing your own handicap.

Please do not congregate near the entrance while waiting for your start time. The Leisure Centre is very busy with cars at this time. Also, please do not stand inside the reception area as this is not permitted by the Leisure Centre staff.

At the end of the race your time is recorded as you pass the time keepers standing by the street lamp. Please keep moving, stay in your finishing order and proceed to the far side of the entrance where your number will be recorded.

Finally, please keep the finishing funnel clear by moving into the Leisure Centre grounds. You may then collapse with exhaustion.

IMPORTANT: You MUST wear a reflective bib to run in this race as the major part of the course is on dark country lanes.
