Step Into The Picture is an arts initiative planned and promoted by Southern Sinfonia in collaboration with Winchester Cathedral, to host an exhibition of Paul Forsey's paintings, exploring The Passion and other moments in the life of Jesus, celebrating visual, musical and spiritual reflection.

This exhibition will be accompanied by a series of free lunchtime concerts on Tuesdays and Fridays in the Cathedral, in the North Transept; 1.10-2pm, given by musicians from local schools, colleges and universities, and by people connected with making music in and around the Winchester area, brought together by Southern Sinfonia, as part of their Winchester Concert Series for 2006.

The series of lunchtime concerts arranged by Southern Sinfonia during the period of the exhibition is an example of our education and outreach work, building and further developing, effective links with schools, colleges and the local community; providing a concert platform for talented musicians, at different stages of their musical careers, to perform to a wider audience.

Step Into The Picture offers an opportunity for a developmental journey through Lent; linking "the visual" to "the musical" to "the spiritual".

Come and make the connection.
