Sarah James is a professional artist and craftsperson specialising in the creation of glass objects. Sarah uses glass enamels and lustres fired in a kiln to produce variety of decorative glass objects, including jewellery, platters, and windows. She was awarded her first commission,a 12-pane window, in Wolverhampton Art Gallery even before completing her degree course at Wolverhampton University (specifically, the School of Art and Design) where she obtained an honours degree in art, specialising in glasswork. Since graduating Sarah has concentrated on the creation of hand decorated platters which sell for over £100 through prestige art dealers. They make an ideal gift for a special occasion. This is due to the special quality of the lustre paints used, which reflect light in an ever changing way throughout the day. Sarah's imaginative jewellery designs are fun and unique utilizing glass and other materals such as feathers with intriguing results. If you would like to wear jewellery that really is a talking point -please take a peep! Commissions to design, manufacture and install glass windows are enthusistically undertaken, these can be large or small and with good communication with an excellent glazing team, we guarantee a smooth process to achieve spectacular results in private or public venues. Sarah enjoys painting using various media, with the emphasis on colour and texture and inspiration taken from her life and surroundings. Most of the articles illustrated in this site are for sale, and commissions can be accepted to create similar objects. Sarah also runs exciting craft workshops in leisure study centres, some under the name WOW-Workshops.
