Member of the Legal Advisory Panel to the Council for the Protection of Rural England Member of the British delegation (leader Lord Woolf) to the Indo-British Forum 1996 Member of the Labour opposition's independent advisory committee on planning law and practice 1994 - 1996 Called to the Bar in 1973. He lectures for bodies such as the RICS, ISVA, Law Society, Academy of European Environmental Law, National Society for Clean Air and Environmental Protection and the Institute of Waste and Environmental Management. Articles include 'Liability Funding Institutions for Contaminated Land' JFP Co-author of Butterworth's "Law and Practice of Statutory Nuisance" 2001 and of its associated web-site. Wide
experience includes petrochemical industry, power, water and retail transport
sectors, waste and contaminated land. Legal member of the Animal Procedures Committee advising the Home Secretary on the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986. Ranked in the top 10% of planning barristers by Planning Magazine 2000
