Hello again .. What a meeting this was !!!  If you were there you would have forgot how cold it was - well I did - If you were not there then poo poo to you , you missed one of the meetings of the year !!! Chris , from that other "Official" Warton site
had a torrid start to the day.. He had not received his new Digi camera , due to him being a ****wit (his words not mine) then forgetting the battery to his camera .... But after laughing at him I lent him my old camera -- It will be interesting to see how the photos come out :)) Later on he came down with an hangover too !!! Yer gotta laff :)) There was allot to sort out on the track too .. Who would win the Gold roof in Unlimited Minis only one point between 26 Shaun Yeats and 44 Ste Smith , with 62 Dave Eccles six points behind them.. It was not a disappointment :)) In Mini Stox the last EVER race between 2 Richard (God I'm good) Ball and 222 Alex (You will perish by my hand) Schofeild... Would the handbags fly or would they
remain cool ??? Not forgetting the return of Team V !!! in the bangers...a full turn out of TMK and Invaders !!! Hoo hoo hoo (no pun intended) It was to be a good day .....  So what the flip happened ???  Well
MINI STOX Heat one.16 starters and both 2 Richard Ball and 222 Alex Schofield spun out , but no they did not do it to each other - oh no .. It was the others who made em slip up , 24 Mr David Burton also had a fun heat , grounded on the inner pit corner wall , he got off and continued racing tho , Which was nice.. 116 Chris (I'm the Champion) Turner took the win , 343 Lee (doing much better recently) Wrennall second and Martin (I need an haircut) Yeates third...Heat two.. 15 began racing and soon 99 Colin Patten span out , he got going again , unlike poor old (well young really) 811 Richard (oww arr) Parker who was pushed onto the inner wall and bounced along it , splitting the rim of his wheel and that was his race over :((  Chris thingy (116) won with 343 Lee (wow) Wrennall second and 222 Alex (evil snigger) Schofeild third... Well it would be the final next , and it was too.. 17 started but David Burton didn't finish , he hit the inner far wall spraying Tony (the Marshall) with concrete chips!! 222 Alex (Damn) Schofeild had a bad race seemed not to have any power , sounded like gears to me - But what the bleep do I know ?? Chris doodah won (again) Richard (at last) Ball second and Dan's brother Lee (343) flying again getting third!! The Grand National and I wondered what was about to occur (this was the VERY last MiniStox race for Alex and his best buddy (not) Richard) Well a nasty hit on the outer wall for .... wait for it... 18 Andrew Molloy.. (got you there didn't I :)) Richard was well in front .. I mean well in front , Alex was not doing much better than before... The gears (I think) Richard lapped Alex , at the same moment that Alex got some power from his gears.. Whoooosh Alex went so fast he ran into the back of Richard and span him hard into the wall , backwards, Ric was dazed and confused ( a bit like me) and got out of his car and walked across the track .. Cars stopped and 342 Dan Wrennall was hit hard from behind by Liz Newby who in turn was clobbered by 505 Daniel Canavan.. He ended up near me in great distress the St Johns went to Dan's aid the we got them over to Daniel , who had hit his knee on a bar inside his car... (Get well soon matey) .. Meanwhile Alex was again going to check out the strength of Ric's helmet , but was ushered away ( I think he was told it was OK or something) . Ric then got a great deal of abuse from the crowd too , which I think was more than a little out of order (Its not like he is Nasty Nick or anything !!) A result was given and Nasty Ric (sorry mate) was given the win , quite rightly in my opinion , 343 Lee got second and Mr skinhead(only more like a mop) 555 third... That was that for MiniStox , Well done to 116 Chris Turner who is quite easily Champion of the 2000 season and will no doubt have that Gold and Silver cheque roof we
discussed some time back :)))    They will be back 27th DEC in bangers !!!
UNLIMITED MINI This was the big one .. well one of the big ones .. Heat one 13 Cars out and the three points leaders ready to go...Ste Smith took the lead dispite being almost spun out by 25 Andy Yeats (coicidence)  But disater for 62 David Eccles as his engine gave up... Ste got the win but in heat two he was spun out early on and I saw a wheel fly , as it was the other end of the track I figured it was Ste's , but what do I know (diddly squat) ,it was 134 Alex Chapman who had lost a rear wheel but amazingly he not just kept going , he did really well - so well it took me a few laps to figure out he was a wheel light !! 427 Stephen Milner brought out the red flags , but seemed OK , Alex retired and Ste Smith clawed his way back up to third , thanks to 25 Andy Yeats loosing power (not unlike Ste did last meeting) on the last corner falling from second to fifth. Shaun Yeats got second and the win was taken by 62 David Eccles... Gosh it was close at the top !!! We thought that 44 Ste Smith was 1 point in front for the championship before the Final race for them for the season.. What a race... Murry Walker would have had a cardiac arrest , early on 26 Shaun Yeats got a flat tyre and slowed , before pulling onto the infeild , his dream over :(  But wait almost at the same time BOTH 44 Ste Smith and 62 David Eccles went out of the race.. Dave's driveshaft and Ste's engine finally giving up for good... But wait in a brainwave Shaun went back out and toured round the track , he was a few laps down and 9th place (points go down to 8th place) if any other car pulled up Shaun could get points and take the championship ( a master move) however it was not to be :(( Shaun did finish out of the points and the championship went to Ste , or did it ??? Much later at , of all places , McDonalds in WIGAN !!! I met up with Ste Smith , by chance, and he said it was a tie !!! It seems that he and Shaun had the same points before the final started, and still have. So ERM?
STOCK CAR Heat one 18 gleaming stock cars ready to go.. 43 Peter Scott was back and always good for action , he didn't disappoint and was in the thick of it loads of bashes and biffs with almost all the cars involved and carnage all over the place , 43 was locked with 911 Peter Kaulbarsch , both men were a little cross and it took a good 15 minutes to separate them ...219 got the win 5 Jonathan Clarkson second and 28 Paul Wilson third.. Heat two .. 329 David Collins did a lovely spin out of the race 211 Steve Padgett pulled up as did 38 Christopher Alderson . 219 got the win again with 65 Nathan Lawson and 90 Steve (Champion - again) Green following him in. Final and we had a flat for 912 Lees Helme and 102 was out after a massive impact from behind , sparks a flying all over , on the start Finnish line... 219 won AGAIN , 5 Jonathan second and Champ third.. The Grand National and 130 hit the outer wall... Nathan Lawson won the race Jonathan came second with 211 Steve Padgett in attendance.. I have had a mail from 90 Ste Green who reminded me that he had started at the back of every race this season and not just the last meeting , and aparantly he is miffed at my description of him too and showed me by using it five times in a two sentance message... What a SMART ARSE !!!  (I only got it in once !!!)
SUPER BANGERS 12 started heat one and shock of shock 439 Jay Kellett , champion leader , pulled out.. Ann Potts 100 took the win Tut (351) was second and 89 Phil Craggs got third . In heat two 10 Bev Jones got a flat , pulled into the centre got out walked over to me beaming and said "Oh Bugger" - great attitude mate :)) 109 Mick Gribben got spun out hard and
although I didn't hear him I think "Oh bugger" was not said by him.. This link works now (sorry) For the rest click here
