The unlikely hero of the day was 50 ,driven by Andrew Lewis , who drove to a shocking win in what was basically a heap of twisted bent metal ... Tis true I have now seen everything... Our Lada came out in the B Final as we took advantage of the chance to race to make up numbers... I stuck on my lucky Bart Simpson Sticker , which I had forgotten earlier , but to no avail , Graham , who was driving it now , went out early on , he kept getting hit back in a pile up and nearly got out three times ... Oh well :( I saw little else of the race as I was open mouthed watching car 50. 06 Carlos got second and more points for BLOOZ Boys 'A'. The DD was well supported with our Lada out again. 5 points for every entry and a close
situation at the top with Blitz Team about 2 points in front. 34 cars started ,as did the rain, and very quickly we were down to the last handful of cars. Dan Steele was giving it loads , Deano had already gone out, but the win was given , after much argument , to 502 Hoagy Wallace of the Northern Krew , giving them the win !!!!!!
It was a fantastic day and the racing was very hard , every race was like a DD and its amazing that so few were hurt. I would like to thank all the folks who travelled the length of the country to race for a great days action... We must do it again ... You alright for 2001 ???? Great see you then :)))
Next Warton Meeting is the Warton Grange Cup Aug. 27th ... Super Bangers will be racing , OK Dave ?, as will all other classes . so I will see you there :)))
