Where to go - what to do

How to use this section

The most important thing about religion or a religious quest is actually doing it! Religion is an experience. Experiencing it is an activity. But what to do?

Experienced visitors to this site can simply bask in the wonderful richness of the material that I have found for you. The material is split into religious traditions because that is the most convenient way of categorising it. However because Religious experience is experience of God it is very often helpful to view it from several different angles - or religions. Of course to make an serious progress you have to major in one tradition in order to be surficiently focused.

If you are new to religion I would suggest that roam around to site until you find something that you can totally identify with. Remember that personal contact with other people of the same persuation is enormously valuable. So if you find two equally helpful sites, always go for the one geographically nearest you.

Hinduism

One of the oldest religions and yet one of the most rational and applicable to modern day life. Some of the material, particularly by Swami Vivekanada, is of universal appeal and particularly for those of a rational tendency of mind. There are thousands of different sects in Hinduism. I have focused on the great monumental core - Vedanta.
