Stereogram Viewer
Stereogram viewer
This was done as part of my Communications and Cryptography course,
to help people who have difficulty seeing stereograms to see them.
Instructions
- Move the mouse inside the applet (the white rectangle).
- Press <return>, to reset the applet.
- Move your eyes toward the screen, until you can't focus properly
on the squares. At some point, an optical illusion of a third
square should appear.
- Focus on the middle square, and slowly move away from the screen,
until you can focus on it comfortably.
- If everything has gone well, the square will appear to be on two
different levels. (You'll understand when you see it).
- At this point, you are seeing what is known as a stereo pair.
- Concentrating on the two-level effect, press the <space> key. The full image
will be shown.
Today's stereogram is of the Greek letter pi.
If you want to see the actual picture without using the applet, it's
here.
