L to R: Patricia Calvert, Rowland Carson. (I can't believe I wore
that pullover with that shirt!) The day after this
encounter Mr McGivern, observing the damage, asked me "What
happened - cat scratched your face?", and without hesitation I replied
(to the sniggers of others in the class who knew the owner of the claws)
"Yes, sir, something very similar to that!".
