TE closeout relief: .

Neville Eyre recommended that the end of the TE closeout should be trimmed away, leaving a flange of about 8mm as marked here in green. There are 2 reasons for this: it allows the upper TE to flex more to conform to the aileron LE shape; and it allows better access to the end of the aileron pushrod for fitting and adjustment.

End of TE closeout trimmed to leave a flange. Note that there is no flange left at the top, so that the upper part of the TE can flex to conform to the aileron shape.

Looking outboard with aileron fitted; this shows the improved access to the aileron pushrod adjustment.
