bonding clip for sight gauge tubing: 2009-04-28
Nikon Coolpix 8400
The U-shaped clip for securing the sight gauge tubing was made earlier from 2 layers of BID laid up on a former (an M12 bolt). Here it is being bonded with Redux onto the seat-back in the correct position to retain the tubing on its way between the fuel tank fitting (at upper left, hidden here) and the hole beside the tunnel at lower right. The clip is held down by a mushroom-shaped lead weight, and a wooden bridge interposed allows the weight to be applied to the flanges without distorting the U-section.
