Thin strip on rudder hinge vee: 2007-08-20.

The vee between the rudder leading edge and the hinge flange was not filled as well as the outer surfaces and so it was rather easy to rub through the gel-coat to the glass and resin underneath.

I had the idea that masking off the area to be re-coated would make things easier, but that proved to be wrong because the masking tape adhesive reacted with the gel-coat, leaving a sticky mess, and it had to be rubbed right down again to get rid of it.

After clearing up the mess from the masking-tape and re-coating those areas, I thought all was well until this thin spot appeared in a new area.
