Flap bracket alignment tools: 2002 08 30.
Canon AV-1, Fujichrome Velvia 50.
These parts are to ensure that a line passing through the bushes in the flap brackets FL1, FL2, and FL3 will be centred in the bush holes. I turned up 2 tapered brass plugs and one acrylic target disc.

Here is one taper plug resting in the bush of an outer flap bracket.

Here is the clear acrylic target beside the bush of a centre flap bracket. The outer diameter of the target matches that of the bush, and it has an inscribed circle on one face matching the inner diameter of the bush. You'll notice that despite taking some care in drilling the central hole, I have managed to start a radial crack in the acrylic.
