Washington Irving  

1848

Used on the Liverpool to Boston route. In 1849, Patrick Kennedy, great grandfather of US President John F Kennedy, came to Liverpool from County Wexford, Ireland and sailed for Boston on this ship to start a new life in America.

Started a new steam packet service from Liverpool to Belfast [08].
Watt     Liverpool ship which fought in the American War of Independence.

1885

One of the last large sailing ships it was made of wrought iron and is now owned by South Street Seaport Museum, New York.
