Politician (SS The) T J Harrison

1941

A cargo ship of 8,000 tons. On the 3rd of February 1941 she sank near Eriskay in Scotland on her way from Liverpool to New Orleans via Jamaica. Much of it's cargo of 28,000 cases of malt whisky was salvaged by islanders and the story was made into the film "Whisky Galore".
