In December 1918 James Henry Hoggarth would have been
19 years of age. His parents lived (it is thought) in Askham-in-Furness.
James Henry first joined the Air Force when it was known as the Royal
Flying Corps. He was later to live in Derby. He had two daughters but
was also to adopt his younger sister Annie Isabell's illegitimate son,
John (who was killed on HMS Barham during the Second World War).
