West House is a Victorian house, set in beautiful parkland at Pinner, which is a historic village in the Harrow borough. The house has been neglected for many years, and fell into a sorry state of repair. It is planned to completely restore the house as a local amenity, to include the Heath Robinson Museum. Full details of the Heath Robinson and West House project can be found on the web pages of the Pinner Association at www.pinnerassociation.co.uk
The Mayor of Harrow  for 2004/5, Cllr. Lurline Champagnie, supported the project during her year of office. I was pleased to be asked to produce a model from the architectural drawings, to show the building as it will look when completed. The model has been displayed around the Borough, to assist the fundraising campaign.
The model is at a scale of 1:80, on a baseboard length of 750mm. The building is dominated by a large swamp cypress tree, which is replicated in the model.
A detail of the model, compared with a view of the present sorry state of the building.
Chairs and tables on the patio outside the Conservatory Café. These are a ready made HO model railway accessory, which suited perfectly.
