ModelKraft 2011

Milton Keynes Scale Model Club

6th February 2011

We’ve had the pleasure of being invited to attend this event for several years. Usually being tucked away on an upstairs balcony or a back room. For the first time we were given a bunch of tables, right in the centre of the main hall. And this was the best ever show. More visitors, more interest, more fun...

We were the UK Card Model Group represented by David Hathaway, Mike Stamper, Tim Crowe and myself. With visits from other card model pals, including Kim Webb and Graham Dixey.

The Palais des Papes, a large and wonderful model from L’Instant Durable, beautifully built by Mike.

Mike’s soaring spires.......

A general view from the balcony of us being at the centre of attention in the main hall. Our tables are circled. Surrounded by many IPMS Club tables.

A view of our tables with Mike’s models followed by Tim’s military vehicles.
Then a few of mine, including the ever popular automata.
And David’s models on the blue cloth at the far end.

David’s ever popular Paper Shipwright display of ships and lighthouses, all at the same 1:250 scale.

A good day was had by all, and we even had
some unexpected visitors at our tables.........

St Stephen’s Cathedral, Venice

Tim’s armoured vehicles alongside my London Bus...

A close up of one of David’s lighthouses, this one is Cromer.

And a new model of a Spanish tug, the Salvador Dali.
