The design is loosely based on drawings of 16th century carracks, trading ships with high fore and aft decks. They were the forerunners of the later galleons, which were highly armed warships.
You can download the model for free, to print and build yourself. You’ll need two thin sheets of A4 card, 297 x 210mm. And a heavier piece of blue card for the base, 380 x 260mm.
