More of a folding model than a pop up card, it’s a model galleon that can be stored in an envelope! |

The design is loosely based on drawings of 16th century carracks, trading ships with high fore and aft decks. They were the forerunners of the later galleons, which were highly armed warships. |

You can download the model for free, to print and build yourself. You’ll need two thin sheets of A4 card, 297 x 210mm. And a heavier piece of blue card for the base, 380 x 260mm. |

There are three pages of instructions to be printed. The third is a template on which to assemble the masts and sails. |
