Anyone can learn the Usui System
of Reiki by participating on a fully certified course. The class is not an
intellectual or academic exercise and age is no barrier (i.e. anyone between
9-99 is O.K.) The only prerequisites are an openness and a desire to learn.
By learning Reiki one is
able to treat oneself and others as well as animals, plants etc. Reiki
students are encouraged to give treatment to themselves on a daily basis.
It is a very relaxing and simple thing to do.
Three
levels of Reiki
First Degree Level
(Shoden). Students within a class
are initiated into the energy via a sacred process. Once initiated, the ability
to channel the energy will be with you for the rest of your life and cannot be
lost. You will hear the history of Reiki and will learn all you need to know to
treat yourself and others. Classes are usually held over four sessions of 3
hours each which can take between 2-4 days. There is an initiation in each of
the 4 sessions and on completion of the course each student is given a
certificate.
During a class
- You hear the history of Reiki
- You learn how to give treatment to yourself and others.
- Learning Reiki is easy - It’s not
an academic / intellectual exercise and no notes are taken.
- There is a 100% success rate. It’s not a matter of quality / quantity.
Every person completing the class will be able
to channel the energy
- Age is no barrier--anyone between 9 and 99 is ok.
- My classes are small (usually no more than 6 at
Wittering) friendly and informal.
- You will be able to be a Reiki healer for the rest of your life- you can’t
loose the ability.
- Having Reiki in your life is like carrying around your best friend with
you permanently-- it will always be there to look after you.
- It is the best First Aid course one can ever do.
- One doesn’t have to concentrate or focus in any special way to
channel the energy
- You do not have to believe in it
- It is energising NOT debilitating for the
Reiki student to channel the energy
Second
Degree Level: (Oku Den). This is for first degree practitioners who
wish to deepen their experience and commitment to using Reiki in their lives.
There is a minimum of 100 days between first and second degree levels of
training. The class includes a further initiation into the Reiki energy and
instruction into the use of symbols which increases the flow of energy when
giving treatments, to reach the subconscious mind and to send Reiki to someone
not physically present. You will also be taught how to send Reiki to any
situation
you wish to. At this level Reiki is limitless.
Third
Degree Level (Do Shu) This is Reiki Mastership level. It is someone
who has been trained in the original traditions of Reiki and whose personal and
professional life is committed to this healing art and the lifestyle it
engenders. A Traditional Teaching Master of Reiki is one who has been
rigorously trained to teach by an elder Master who adheres to those traditions.
