Bob Barker has been involved in research into the development of Time Based Manufacturing Strategies and the implementation of Time Based Frameworks within UK manufacturing industry for the last 12 years. His background is in Manufacturing/Industrial management, holding positions such as - Group Operations Director, Manufacturing Director, Production Manager, etc.

He is currently Visiting Professor at Cranfield University, in the School of Management and the School of Industrial and Manufacturing Science.

He has given lectures to senior manager postgraduate courses at UMIST, University of Manchester, Bath University, Cambridge University, Cranfield University, Sheffield University, Warwick University and BPICS events.
