Illustrated throughout with monochrome engravings; coloured map of Palestine frontispiece. Front internal hinge weak (only held with webbing), external back hinge split 3½" in centre, some foxing to endpapers, page edges browned, good, clean copy (no wrapper). Average.

Ford, Reginald - Private Prayers for Our Sisters. Elliot Stock, 1906. 4¾" x 3", 126pp, green cloth, gold and blind blocking, hardback. Very slightly sunned spine; a couple of edge fox spots; name written at top of front-free endpaper; very good, sound, clean, no wrapper.

Fraser, Mrs Alexander - Guardian and Lover. R. E. King & Co, not dated, c1900? 7¼" x 4¾", 318pp plus 32pp King catalogue, grey-brown cloth, printed with lettering and decoration, hardback. Stains on front-board; boards 'dusty' and grubby; edge-wear; weak hinges but not split; pages toned; pencil scribble on pages 120, 121, 264, 265 (that on page 265 has cut the page a little, now repaired with filmoplast); externally poor, internally good, no wrapper.

Friendly, Aunt - The Children on the Plains: A True Story. Frederick Warne, not dated, inscribed 1872. Appears to be a child's view of the settler's imigration trail in the USA; I'll pass on how true the 'True Story' is. Illustrated with a colour frontispiece. 4¾" x 3¼", 128pp plus 1 plate, red-brown cloth, gold, black and blind blocking, hardback. All edges gilt. Case detached and cloth splitting along spine; faint marks to cloth; back-board sunned; contents are virtually disbound; inscription on front-free endpaper; some foxing to verso of frontispiece; good, complete, generally clean (no wrapper).

Frith, Henry - The Search for the Talisman: A Tale of Adventure in Labrador. Blackie, 1898. 7½" x 5", 288pp plus 4 plates plus 32pp illustrated catalogue, dark grey-blue buckram blocked in pale-grey, red and black with an illustration, gold spine lettering, hb. Laid paper. Illustrated with 4 monochrome plates by John Schonberg, plus decorative head- and tail-pieces. Top-edge a bit 'dusty', slight foxing at front and back, very good, no wrapper. Above average.
