Volume 2 of The Novels of George Eliot series. 7¾" x 5", 486pp plus 6 plates, red cloth, hardback. Illustrated in monochrome with a series title-page drawing and with 6 plates. Heavy, general, external wear (loss at head of spine) and board marks; lacks front-free endpaper; 2 inscriptions (name and date) at head of series-title page; text, and plates, good, sound, clean and complete; no wrapper. This is a reading copy only, not collectible standard.

Everett~Green, Evelyn - Ruth Ravelstan: The Puritan's Daughter. Nelson, 1907. 8" x 5½", 422pp plus 6 plates, red-brown buckram with pictorial front board and spine, gold blocked lettering, hardback. Top-edge gilt. Illustrated with 6 colour paintings (all present but not bound as per the list at the front, not uncommon). Sunday-school prize-plate on front paste-down; very slight edge-wear; otherwise practically very good, solid, clean copy (no bumps, not ex-library) no wrapper (never had one?).
